We believe that the “evangelical” church today has a very low view of God and we are committed to exalting Jesus Christ above all other things by attempting to challenge our reasoning to be more Christ centered. Henceforth, we pursue Nurturing A Christian Mindset In A Pagan World.

Our elder/pastor and the American director of our overseas ministry, Theos Doulos Church Planting, was ordained in 1984, has been the pastor of two churches  and was also on staff at Buffalo City Mission for twenty years.

From 1994 to 2001, Brother Joe made six trips to Poland, three trips to Ukraine and one trip to Romania serving as the main bible teacher for Word of Life in at summer camps for young adults and working with local churches in city wide evangelism.

At his former church he organized a multi-ethnic conference for three years using pastors from seven different ethnic groups teaching on multi-ethnic issues confronting the church. The City of Buffalo, Erie county and The Town of Amherst gave special recognition to these meetings. He has also been a workshop teacher at the Multi-racial conference in 2000 at Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis, Dr. Charles Ware-president and served on a panel discussion concerning these matters at the regional Conservative Baptist Association Northeast. He has written articles on these issues which were published in two Christian newspapers and are available on our website.

He is one of the founding members of the Reformation Society of WNY which meets monthly at the Evangelical Church of Fairport.

Brother Joe has taken part in two international think tanks on The Theology of The New Covenant and has hosted twelve others and the 2020 conference which will be  held in August in Western New York. Sadly, Covid closed down this conference. He also took part in a conference in Australia in 2007.

Brother Joe and his wife Deborah taught a pastors and wives conference and did evangelistic work in the Philippines in April 2009, which was their first visit there after establishing the word in 2008 via Pastor Ernie Daasin. Joe returned to the Philippines in September 2010, October 2011 and October 2012, April 2014. We postponed the 2013 trip due to rebel activity on the island in the city of Zamboanga. Our 2014 trip was very exciting with much new work to observe and new attendees at our conferences and the same can be said for 2015, 2016 and we will be there in 2017 in October. UPDATE: Because of an ISIS uprising in the city of Marawi, our partners have thought it best for us to postpone this year’s conferences from October until April 2018, unless something changes.

We had two conferences in October 2019 and will do one after our first week of our new Bible Institute.

We now have 2 church plants and a new affiliate. Two of our established  churches, 2009  and 2012, had to close because of rebel activities in the mountains. Many people and other churches have left the area. TheosDoulos on Mindanao Island is recognized by Christian Aid Mission as one of their listed Indigenous Missions. We do distribution of disaster aid for them when they collect moneys for disaster relief on Mindanao. Our Institute of Biblical Theology began classes in October of 2019. You can read more on our blog page.

Pastor Joe is also the author of the award-winning book, A Rage To Live: Surviving The Holocaust So Hitler Would Not Win. www.tolifeink.com

Pastor  Joe studied at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem on scholarship and at two Belfer Holocaust Educator Conferences at the United States Holocaust Memorial and Museum. He has lectured at schools, churches, THe WWII Museum in Eldred Pa., a river cruise from Prague to Berlin, a large pastor’s conference in Kenya and Uganda. In Uganda he also taught at the National Police Academy and at a breakfast for members of the Ugandan Parliament.
